2) Mechanical release in case of electronic malfunction
Proceed as follows, if firing becomes impossible despite of:
- Correct manipulation of the trigger
- Adequate energy capacity of battery
- Corrcet connection of battery
Dismantle the whole diopter unit from the crossbow.
I.e. the trigger claw unit (red line).
- Unfasten the 2 socket screws of the little cover plate (red line).
- Put an allen wrench, size 2, in the slant borehole to fire (arrow).
Caution:
All these operations MUST to be done with extreme caution!
Especially the mechanical release i.e. firing!
Obey strictly all safety rules shown below!
Important safety rules while mechanical release
- The mechanical release MUST be done within the shooting range.
- Firing MUST be done on a regular target (wood/lead).
- This target MUST be within a distance of 20 cm (8 inches) to the crossbow.
- Firing MUST be done by 2 persons experienced in crossbow shooting!
- The first person holds the crossbow stable. The second person releases the shot, as described above!
